Cardiovascular Intervention Program
Robert J Lederman, MD, Principal Investigator
This laboratory focuses on novel mechanical and biological treatments
for heart and peripheral artery diseases, particularly treatments guided
by magnetic resonance imaging. The laboratory collaborates especially
closely with the Medical Imaging Section
in the laboratory of Dr. Elliot McVeigh,
PhD and with other Cardiovascular Branch
investigators.
Research spans from real-time MRI guided treatment of blocked arteries,
to therapeutic angiogenesis to improve blood flow in the legs.
