Research Interests:
I am conducting a high throughput screen for congenital
cardiovascular anomalies in ENU mutagenized mice using high frequency
ultrasound. This is a noninvasive prenatal fetal screen, and thus far I have
screened over 2,000 fetuses from over 100 families. I have identified over a dozen families with serious
cardiovascular defects including persistent truncus arteriosus, hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy, ectopia cordis, a variety of coronary anomalies, and variety of
other defects including skeletal, limb, and eye defects.
